Harris visits Holmes Junior High School in Mount Prospect

State Rep. David Harris gave the opening announcement at Holmes Junior High School on June 4th. That day was designated as the school's "Service Day," a day on which the students participate in numerous service projects on behalf of others. The "Service Day" was the school's third annual one, and it was a great success for all involved.

In his remarks over the video public address system, Rep. Harris congratulated the students on their efforts to help others. He said that helping others benefits both those who receive the help and those that give the help. So the students will get a real sense of accomplishment that they were able to do something for someone else.

Harris was joined in giving the opening remarks by Dr. Art Fessler, the Superintendent of School District 59.
